A lot of people were unsure of the book because of the leaked changes in 5e but apparently, it works naturally in the whole meta. This 300-page book covers a variety of topics for DMs to go with. If you are a core player-only type, then this book isn’t for you. However, it is coined as an essential book for any D&D fan thanks to the “Master of” sections that are great for anybody wants to try becoming a DM and a plethora of choices for DM mains.

It also boasts as one of the most surreal cover pages for the franchise and 192 pages of amazing classes and worlds to explore. It also includes Dungeon Master’s Tools which have something for both beginner and experienced DMs. Wizards of the Coast – the producer of the book – took 3 years to perfect this masterpiece. Here’s something for hunters of the game. Monster Manual is considered one of the most essential books in 5e since it is relevant for multiple campaigns. It is the most complete collection of both enemy and friendly creatures with thorough details described on each NPC. The layout artwork of the book is quite more fluid than its previous editions and the stat blocks are easy to scan through. The splash art of every person and creature in the book is amazing, each brimming with details and life. It also points out new rules for you to get in touch when it comes to the game.

What Would I Buy?
For real though, all these books are good to buy and there are barely any flaws. But if you want a personal pick, we choose Dungeon Master’s Guide for all DMs out there and the potential to expand the lore. But that doesn’t mean Xanathar’s Guide to Everything and Monster Manual are any less better.

The books you see above here are already good as a starting point. There is really no specific starting point for D&D other than getting the essential books first.
