Well, this ought to top your holiday wish list. The 2011 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition is arguably the ultimate Call of Duty: Black Ops collectible, running $30,625 for the two-door model and $33,500 for the four-door (Jeep Wrangler Unlimited) model.
Unlocks with a key, not a killstreak
It only comes in black. Of course.
The vehicle also features Call of Duty: Black Ops graphics on the roof and front quarter panels (Treyarch’s Josh Olin offers you a closer view of this). Extra perks (seewhatididthere) include taillamp guards and a fuel-filler door from Mopar. The press release notes its “aggressive 32-inch off-road tires, live axles with locking differentials in the front and rear, and a two-speed transfer case.” I can also reveal it comes with seats and a motor.
However, the thing that really jumped out at me was this: “A new USB interface connects to storage devices for use with the vehicle’s Media Center.” I am so happy to see car audio systems evolve — I want to plug in a USB stick and rock out, dammit. The 2011 Wrangler also comes with a 110-volt outlet so you can just plug your laptop in without any wonky adapters. The more cars become like my apartment, the happier I am.
You can visit your local Jeep dealer next month and see this in the showroom. It is a limited edition so they won’t be exactly everywhere — maybe you should call ahead.
