Here’s a new twist for the Cabela’s series: a wilderness survival action-adventure title that also comes with/supports the Top Shot Elite peripheral. Here’s the teaser for Cabela’s Survival: Shadows of Katmai:
The setup sounds pretty cool: you play as Logan James, a pilot who crashes in the remote wilderness regions of Alaska and has to scavenge guns and gear to survive.
And if that means I have to shoot a bird with a handgun to survive, so be it.
The game is slated to come out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii on 11/1/11. They’re already talking about it in the official Facebook group, and I’ll see what else I can find out about it, but I’m intrigued.
