GH DLC: Three packs for April 2011

by Dan on April 12, 2011

Today the last of the announced Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock downloadable tracks go on sale for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. There are ten tracks, but they’re organized into three different Track Packs.

The Emo Edge Track Pack includes tracks from two bands:

  • Paramore – “Ignorance”
  • Paramore – “That’s What You Get”
  • Madina Lake – “Across 5 Oceans”
  • Madina Lake – “Hey Superstar”

The Emo Edge Track Pack is 600 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, $7.49 for PlayStation 3, or 750 Wii Points. You can buy the songs as singles for 160 MS Points/$1.99/200 Wii Points each.

The Middle Class Rut Track Pack includes three tracks from the Sacramento alt-rockers, Middle Class Rut:

  • “Lifelong Dayshift”
  • “New Low”
  • “Sad to Know”

The Middle Class Rut Track Pack is 440 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, $5.49 for PlayStation 3, or 550 Wii Points. You can buy the songs as singles for 160 MS Points/$1.99/200 Wii Points each.

The Darkest Hour Track Pack contains three tracks by the melodic death metal band Darkest Hour:

  • “Beyond the Life You Know”
  • “Doomsayer (The Beginning of the End)”
  • “Savor the Kill”

The Darkest Hour Track Pack is 440 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 or $5.49 for PlayStation 3. You can buy the songs as singles for 160 MS Points/$1.99 each. In other words, this one’s not on Wii.

Rock, as always, on.

Wow, there is literally nothing in any of those packs I will pay for. What a let down.

Glad to see Middle Class Rut in GH. Might have to grab “New Low.”

  • darkside

Absolute rubbish, no wonder the franchise is dead on it’s arse!

Simply not buying it would have been statement enough.

Music is subjective. To each their own.

  • gordofredito

and I thought the March DLC was bad…

  • toymachine

The “Emo Edge Pack” is actually 600 MSP

  • The Mighty Slorrbeast

Do you know why the Darkest Hour pack is not on Wii. It’s not my taste of music, but curious what caused Wii owners to get the shaft again.

I had only heard the two Paramore tracks coming into this weeks DLC and going by the names of the packs, I wasn’t expecting much but after playing and listening to these songs, I ended up liking them very much. “Savor the Kill” is SOOOOOO much fun on drums and my song of the month w/ “Lifelong Dayshift” taking #1 from the Middle Class Rut TP and “Across 5 Oceans” taking the top honor for the Emo Edge TP. All in all, it’s a great last month of DLC…as long you have an open mind for music and aren’t a douchebag… ;)

    More junk!

I think it just wasn’t done. Remember, this was the last stuff in the pipeline. Different approval processes on each console mean different schedules for those processes.

You are correct — my intel was wrong (I wrote this post before it was actually posted). Thanks for the update, I will fix the story.

Well, I can’t stop people from making two-word posts. Some junk we just have to tolerate.

Nice to see more Paramore, though there goes my hope of GH releasing a juicy Queensryche pack…sigh.

  • The Mighty Slorrbeast

That would make sence. It’s too bad being a Wii fan I like to see more DLC for my console. I really hope I win the PS3 pack so I can play the National Anthems. And I really want a PS3.
