Black Ops: Call of the Dead stars George A. Romero & top-name actors

Call of the Dead features big-name talent, and lots of it. The zombie portion of Escalation, the next DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops, will not only feature big-name actors but a big-name director as well. The cast includes Danny Trejo (Machete, The Devil’s Rejects), Michael Rooker (Merle from The Walking Dead), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scream 2), and Robert Englund, famous as Freddie Krueger in A Nightmare On Elm Street (and of course, Willie from V). They are joined by the first and last name in zombie cinema, George A. Romero, who plays himself.

The trailer is incredible.

    I’ve got mixed feelings about this…but as I’m picking up the map pack regardless, I’ll reserve my judgement until the 3rd. ^__^

    I don’t know… This is pretty much is the coolest thing I heard in a few days! Awesome!!! I didn’t buy the previous pack but I am now sold on Escalation.

    I’m not a CoD player really, but that trailer is great. If they subbed out Trejo with an African-American actor, they could have called it Left 4 CoD. (Barring all the legal issues, of course)

    That looks epic. Not a huge fan of the Zombie mode, but this looks to good to pass up.

    Pretty dang excited. Now just throw in the original zombie maps from the hardened edition some time soon, and Black Ops could be a zombie killing masterpiece!

    Just had a thought for a zombie mode (taking a cue from Katrin Auch :) ) there needs to be a powerup called Headshotmas, once you get it, every headshot on a zombie you get drops a small gift with more ammo or a credit bonus.

    Thoughts?

    At the risk of stating the obvious? A trailer which rivals “Dead Island” in the ‘How can the end product top THAT?’ stakes. Truly engaging stuff, with the Romero appearance being the cherry on the cake.
