One of the more common Call of Duty: Black Ops questions I’ve seen lately is “When is Treyarch going to fix [insert issue here]?” When the game launched, I preemptively suggested that people either contact customer support or the CallOfDuty.com forums for assistance. That’s evolved, and now Treyarch has status posts for people who just want to follow along with updates, fixes, and tweaks.
The forums at callofduty.com are still the place to go to be part of the discussion directly with the developers, but there are platform-specific sticky posts that the devs are updating based on the feedback they get from the ongoing forum discussions. Based on what system you use to play Black Ops, you might want to bookmark the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii threads. They are being updated separately as each platform may have unique issues — PC players, amiright?
So next time you say “What about this — are they fixing it?”, you have a place to go find out. If you don’t see your issue listed, jump into the conversation and report it. And once again I’d urge you to be polite about it, because you will get better results that way.
Oh, and a reminder — you can talk all you want in the comments below, but if you have something specific to report or some bug you need help fixing, you should still ask Activision’s customer support team or read & post at the CallOfDuty.com forums. I’m merely the messenger here.
