The wait is over — Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions swings into retail shelves today (come on, everybody else got to make that dumb joke, I want to make it too), and the early response from the press is very positive.
"Just your friendly neighborho -- whoa, GamePro really likes me!"
“Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions made a lot of promises that I wasn’t sure it was going to keep. [...] But after three full days of web swinging, wall crawling, and old-fashioned fisticuffs across several amazing, action-packed levels, I’ve never been happier to be wrong. Shattered Dimensions is easily one of the best Spider-Man games I’ve played yet.”
"You know, you bad guys oughta...hey, Game Informer digs me too!"
“All of Shattered Dimensions’ disparate game types flow seamlessly together [...] It’s one of the best Spider-Man titles in recent memory, if not the best Spider-Man title to date.”
"I like to keep up with modern times, but...whoa, hi there, IGN!"
“If you think you’ve seen it all with Spider-Man games, think again [...] There’s a sense of drama in Shattered Dimensions that has been missing from Spidey games for years.”
More reviews are incoming; I generally keep an eye on Metacritic and GameRankings to see what’s been posted, but I always click through to the original site, and you should too. A score is not a review — find out how and why a writer came to their conclusion by reading their actual work.
