What’s a “3D Screenshot”?

by Dan on July 1, 2010

I didn’t know either until I clicked on this Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions link. There are three — one for Amazing, one for Noir, and one for 2099. And I couldn’t get it to embed properly on my narrow column width — it may be simply too awesome for my site — so just click through and you can see the thing full screen. Click on any of the Spidey heads and then choose “3D Screenshots” from that menu.

Interesting I guess, I was expecting some type of Stereogram. Probably because about a week ago, I was messing with both Stereograms and Autostereograms and figured out cross-eyed 3D viewing. It's cool when you can do it, just hurts a lot since it is unnatural.

I am unable to do stereograms; I tried for years. This is more like “image that can be manipulated in 3D” rather than “3D image.” :)
