Yes, Activision has iPad games

by Dan on April 3, 2010

If you are the owner of a shiny new iPad today, congrats. You are a bold early adopter and I hope you got a carrying case, because I’d be terrified about scratching that sucker.

Now all you need are games games games. Activision has two specific to the iPad — an enhanced version of Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies, and the new semi-surprise title, Geometry Wars: Touch. Screens after the jump.

This makes me soil myself

Geometry Wars: Touch is based on Geometry Wars 2: Retro Evolved on XBLA, and it includes all six game modes from the console version plus a new mode just for the iPad edition, called “Titans.” Kotaku has a decent overview if you’re interested, and Craig Howard from Bizarre hints at an iPhone version. Hope that’s true.

Okay, this also makes me soil myself

The iPad edition of Zombies features both the original game and the first DLC pack for the same price — so it’s like the instant all-in-one collection. The controls have been tweaked for iPad (you have three control options, including one that incorporates tilt) and the game supports four-player games via WiFi.

I haven’t seen an iPad in person yet, let alone played either title, so I’m eager to hear anybody’s impressions of these.

    Geometry Wars? Want!

Well, at least you'll be able to play an Activision game while not having Flash player. iPad fail.

Apple's exclusion of Flash is not relevant to this discussion.

You are actually too stupid for words to describe.
